Diploma Thesis: Agile Development in Small and Medium Sized Projects

This work tries to answer the following question: By what means can gocept improve its development process to increase the quality of the developed software and thus have satisfied customers?

Part I introduces the company gocept (which is the object in this work) and shows which problems gocept had in the past by looking at some explanatory projects.

Part II first introduces to the two worlds of software development: the Agile Software Development Methodologies and the Rigorous Software Methodologies. It then shows three selected Agile Methodologies to give the reader deeper knowledge of the Agile world and the people behind it.

Part III analyses various development and managment pratices. It shows how they could improve quality in general and help gocept to solve their quality problems in particular. This work shows that gocept would gain most from introducing Pair Programming, Unit Tets and Simple Design.
